Inspiration: The world as Steve Jobs saw it

World as Steve Jobs Saw it
Steve Jobs youtube clip from video about the Secret of Life

Secret of Life Quote

When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money.

That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.

Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.

  1. Steve also saw the world as a place where he would lie to his best friend about the money they made on a job so he could pocket more. He also saw the world as a place where he would knowingly lie about his illegitimate child, forcing her and her mother to live on welfare.

Is that bashing into walls? Building your own version of things?

Perhaps the best lesson to take from Steve is that while finding your own path is great, if you run over other people in the process you might be viewed as “inspired”, but you’ll also be viewed as an “asshole”.
