I love animated films, always have, but as you know almost all of them, while good, are aimed at a younger demographic. This film, Borrowed Time, which has won several festival awards, is different in that it takes on a much more mature storyline. It was put together in five years by two Pixar Animators, Andrew Coats and Lout Hamou-Lhadj (co-directors) and an obviously talented team. If you don’t get the feels, something’s wrong with you.
A weathered Sheriff returns to the remains of an accident he has spent a lifetime trying to forget. With each step forward, the memories come flooding back. Faced with his mistake once again, he must find the strength to carry on.
In this vlog we take a short day hike up to Manoa Falls; the tallest accessible waterfall on Oahu. Located through the valleys that inspired Jurassic Park movies inside the lush Koolau mountains, this fun little hike has some amazing views. The hike is easy, and there there’s easy parking at the trailhead and only costs a couple bucks. Continue reading →

Valentine’s Day 2016 festivities with Amy. I shot and edited this in one day – just like a daily vlog – but I’m not doing that every day lol. We get breakfast at a local hole-in-the-wall, but awesome, spot. We get pedi’s cause she wanted to. We do some personal creative stuff at a coffee shop and do a nice dinner up on Nob Hill at an Italian joint. Hope you like it. Continue reading →
Amy and I went on a walkabout to Lands End point in San Francisco. Despite a LOT of wind, and Amy’s blood drop outfit, and my vlogging camera battery dying; we had a great hike. We fought the wind physically and I fought the wind in post… I need to figure out a better way to film when it’s that sort of windy out. SUBSCRIBE on Youtube and Like the video! Lots more to come. For a quite a while (many years) now I’ve been inspired by so many great content creators on Youtube that are able to tell their story and/or give their perspective on things. I’m not so good at doing that; I am but only when in a very small group setting and with people I know and are comfortable with. I’ve tinkered with video in the past but I’m trying to go all in and become more comfortable in sharing my thoughts, life, and experiences. I’m still super awkward behind a camera, even if it’s me holding it, but I hope in time that will fade and it will become more natural.
So, that said, I’ve edited a bunch of clips I took and made something (somewhat) presentable as a v1. I’m not a vlogger; I just hope I can become one someday. Be sure to Subscribe to my channel! And please comment and hit that Like button! Continue reading →

I love bikes and I love MotoGP and since learning of The Isle of Man TT I’ve been in love with that race too.
The race takes place the last week of May and the first week of June each year on the ‘Isle of Man’ island located between Britain and Ireland. The views are fantastic, the streets are narrow and often there are big drop-offs and cobblestone walls that these guys are inches from at speeds exceeding 180mph. There’s nothing safe about this and that is why it is the Greatest of Motor-Sporting event in the world. I hope one day I can travel there to watch it in person.
The original video I had shared has since been removed from YouTube but this one is just as rad. Enjoy and share.
I’ve always thought that tying my shoes was a pretty easy thing to do but with recent pairs of shoes I’ve had difficulty keeping the knot tied even when doubled-knotted. The other thing that bothered me with longer more rigid laces is that one side of the laces always twists itself and into my leg… why won’t it lie perpendicular to my foot as I tied it? As stupid as it sounds I never really questioned the knot… but I should have. Watch this TED Talk from 2005 and learn the most simple way to fix all of these issues. Loop it the other way.
Cool huh? So dumb to never have thought of that; it’s just you never really question the most simple things in life… Maybe sometimes you should. I know you’re retying your shoes after watching that. I did. Enjoy and spread the love.
It’s been an emotionally draining week thus far; work load is crazy busy, a business idol of mine Steve Jobs passed… but life goes on and you do your thing. I found this video thanks to my buddy Matt Gist. Powerful stuff. All I have to say is spend the 15min to watch this. You’ll think differently after; think about what you have and realize that shit can always be worse. Be happy and live… and hold doors for people and smile and stuff.
sorry for two parts, they took down the full video for some reason.
