(updates to this story posted below) – As far as I’m concerned, right now Nintendo is dead. We could get into numbers and market stuff but I don’t care right now. Let common sense guide you here. Nothing they’ve created since the N64, with slight exception to the Wii and 3DS, has been anything to really care about. The new Wii U is pretty weak and they just can’t compete anymore with the other consoles. Sony Playstation and especially Xbox are in a league of their own that doesn’t include Nintendo; just look at how Xbox is taking was trying to take over the living room and dominating with Xbox Kinect. Not to mention the absolute fail that is multiplayer on Nintendo Wii (and U).
Anyways.. back to the point. When is Nintendo going to release IP rights for Mario and the old popular games on iOS?
Would you pay $5 or maybe even $10 for Mario to play on your iphone and ipad? Fuck yeah I would! Super Mario Bros? Mario Kart? Zelda? Super Sprint? RC Pro Am? Pilot Wings? F-Zero!
COME ON NINTENDO! You’re slowly dying – this is by far the best way to save yourself. You don’t have to be Sega, people actually want to play Mario on iOS unlike Sonic.
I love bikes and I love MotoGP and since learning of The Isle of Man TT I’ve been in love with that race too.
The race takes place the last week of May and the first week of June each year on the ‘Isle of Man’ island located between Britain and Ireland. The views are fantastic, the streets are narrow and often there are big drop-offs and cobblestone walls that these guys are inches from at speeds exceeding 180mph. There’s nothing safe about this and that is why it is the Greatest of Motor-Sporting event in the world. I hope one day I can travel there to watch it in person.
The original video I had shared has since been removed from YouTube but this one is just as rad. Enjoy and share.
I’ve always thought that tying my shoes was a pretty easy thing to do but with recent pairs of shoes I’ve had difficulty keeping the knot tied even when doubled-knotted. The other thing that bothered me with longer more rigid laces is that one side of the laces always twists itself and into my leg… why won’t it lie perpendicular to my foot as I tied it? As stupid as it sounds I never really questioned the knot… but I should have. Watch this TED Talk from 2005 and learn the most simple way to fix all of these issues. Loop it the other way.
Cool huh? So dumb to never have thought of that; it’s just you never really question the most simple things in life… Maybe sometimes you should. I know you’re retying your shoes after watching that. I did. Enjoy and spread the love.
When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and you’re life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money.
That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.
Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.
It’s been an emotionally draining week thus far; work load is crazy busy, a business idol of mine Steve Jobs passed… but life goes on and you do your thing. I found this video thanks to my buddy Matt Gist. Powerful stuff. All I have to say is spend the 15min to watch this. You’ll think differently after; think about what you have and realize that shit can always be worse. Be happy and live… and hold doors for people and smile and stuff.
sorry for two parts, they took down the full video for some reason.
“Steve was among the greatest of American innovators – brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.”
“The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.”

Yes this is probably the coolest fucking video ever. The Red Bull Formula 1 car hits the dirt roads and city streets of Texas before going off-road onto the under-construction Circuit of the Americas track. The F1 Circuit of the Americas takes place in Austin, Texas on November 18, 2012
Watch this is 1080p and crank it up. It’s beyond amazing. I love you Red Bull for making this… thank you.
The track is actually pretty close to the Austin Bergstrom Airport (map)
OH… and MotoGP will be there too… so fucking excited for this.
Damn… this is my new favorite video. I love GoPro and I love this guy for doing it and filming this in 720p. Beautiful scenery and multiple angles and look how close he gets to the ground through that pass… wow…
Sometimes you just need a little laugh. In our backchannel today Scott posted one of these videos and got me out of my client aggravation.
I like dubstep, it’s weird as fuck but I like it and it helps me get stuff done during the day with the rhythm. I typically can’t work with vocals in the songs so trance, techno and now dubstep takes over my ears during major work sessions. This guy just made my day though and made me laugh – here’s a couple of his videos.
If you don’t know what dubstep is… well, you’re about to get a crash course; hah. Enjoy
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads you off the well worn path; and that will make all the difference.”
